Where in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights or plain old statutory law does it say that there is something legally wrong in spending your money to transport folks to a townhall protest? Would some of you Lefties address this?

Where does it say that it is morally wrong?

Remember, townhalls are not elections. They are free and open gatherings. It is not at all clear that paying people to participate is morally wrong. Furthermore, paying people to participate is not bribing them if you are compensating them for income that they lose in attending; rather, you are making it possible for them to attend of their own free will.
