I believe the damage is done and the US Israeli relationship will continue to slide. Only today Swedish diplomats (Sweden is current EU PresidenT)when challenged by Israels foreign mininistry on being too pro Palestinian and anti Israel in their pronouncements, pointed to the USA and said they were only following the official line of the UNITED STATES Government.
It is futile for Israel to attempt to please and mollify the Americans. Israel should look quickly to new strategic partnerships with India, China and Asia, the sun is setting on Europe and the United States and there is nothing left there for Jews but fear of the future.
Obama is espousing the ideology of the post christian and secularised west. Jews have no place in Obamas world other than as universal scapegoats. The Jew is seen by Obama and his allies as the torch bearer of capitalism and colonialism, in short the enemy that must be destroyed.
