Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out who either voted for Obama, or even if they didn’t, had a fairly positive view of him and weren’t too concerned about what would happen if he won, who felt compelled to ignore or downplay his leftist connections. Why did they do this? Because those who consider themselves to be moderates think that it’s unbecoming to rant and rave over what the conservative media makes a big deal over and the MSM chooses to ignore. These are people who poo-poo the notion of liberal media bias, while falling victim to it.
There’s a moderate Republican in my office who hasn’t heard anything on the news about Gerald Walpin, the shakedown of the Chrysler bondholders, the dismissal of the case against the New Black Panthers, etc, etc, etc. And if you get too excited about this stuff, people will roll their eyes at you. This attitude is exactly why Obama got elected.
On election night, I said to all my friends that Obama’s downfall will be his dishonesty. He’s gotten to where he is today by lying, lying and more lying. The best thing that could possibly come out of Obama’s presidency is that when he’s brought down by the likes of FoxNews, Drudge, talk radio, etc, maybe more people will become more receptive to these various voices.
