Seems like only yesterday, I was in Allen Garfield’s acting workshop w/QT (85-86)
The guy could write, no doubt about it. I remember the fun we had working on a scene from Shepard’s ‘True West’ I wanted to kill him that night…could never figure him out. I guess that’s what’s made him so great.
The excitement he had when Harvey Keitel came on board for ‘Dogs’ and QT bringing me in to read for the part of Mr. Blonde.
The man has gone on to become part of ‘film history’ and even though I didn’t always ‘dig’
every movie he’s made…he’s always had my respect.
I hope he continues to find success and who knows, maybe somewhere down the line, get to work with him again.
If not me, how about giving my friend, Dick Bakalyan a call?
