I do know this, though. It was conservatism, broadly defined, that enabled man to progress from a naked ape to the creature we see today. Liberalism, again broadly defined, is a late-comer and could never have built the great civilizations that our own hearkened to in its founding eras. If liberalism were to die off, it would be no big thing. If conservatism were to die off, man would regress back to primitive conditions. You can take that to the bank. Liberalism is like the ripple of a stone thrown into a pond. Conservatism is the pond.
