I can name two more people that were born in Inglewood, Centinela Hospital, my sister and myself. My parents lived in Long Beach at the time, pre-Freeway, so sometimes I wonder what taking my mom to the hospital must have been like driving up PCH in all that traffic.
One of my former Economics students, he wanted to be a hippie before going to work at the OMB, attended UCSC the year Pulp Fiction was released and told me that the school had seriously considered changing the artwork on the banana slug t-shirts so as not to be associated with “that” film.
