This piece is a bunch of PC crap. Officer Crowley wound up in a no-win situation with a race-baiter. Be it motivated by an African-American Dept. professor drumming up PR for a new book, video, event, whatever, or trying to protect the dept. from budget cuts due to the economic downturn, he had everything to gain from making a scene.
The Officer asked him for his ID. Oh my, what an outrageous demand! Did he hit him upside the head with a baton? Knock him to the ground and kick him in the ribs? When on the ground, put his knee in the middle of his back and cuff his hands behind his back? NO!
Race is Gates’ business! Period. He needs it for funding at Harvard and for his own prestige. It is also Barry’s No. 1 business as a community organizer and it just comes second nature. He is still feeling his way around the role as the “prez.”
Too many blacks continue to play the victim. Others get on with life and choose to succeed. Some get pulled back by the “crab mentality.” Those who do make it (Condi Rice, C. Thomas) suddenly become oreo’s to the Hood. Like with most children, they learn more if treated with tough love and respect rather than as children with no capacity to handle life on their own. Democrats and government have been successful at inculcating a victim mentality now for several generations and it will not be changed by “talk.” It’s called arrested development.
