Obama is getting away with his anti-Israel and pro-terrorist policy because he knows he can count on the unconditional support of American Jews. The reason for this still escapes me but that is the political reality in the US taday.
American Jews are the ones who need a bit of self-reflection. Will they continue supporting a man who wants to dialogue with countries working to destroy Israel and the Jews or will they see Israel’s security as something that should take precedence over ideology?
Right now, it is the former and I see no sign of change in that policy. Other than Orthodox Jews who are squarely supporting Israel, the vast majority of secular, liberal and mostly assimilated American Jews support Obama regardless of the consequeces on Israel. These Jews will bear a great responsibility if, G-d forbid, something happens to Israel and the 6M Jews who live there.
