Benson, in terms of the African American/Jewish problem, perhaps your point had some validity in previous decades. But the days of the Jewish shopkeeper in the black neighborhood are long gone. Such stereotypes are merely perpetuated by people from earlier generations, who should and do know better now. Shaming an angry man into silence isn’t necessarily a bad thing, if his “feelings” are in fact illegitimate and he knows the racial stereotypes he is railing against are a thing of the past, as in the case of Rev. Lee. It’s hardly censorship to correct someone when they are preaching untruths.
