People seem to forget that McCain has a lot of appeal on both sides as a maverick, which is good for middle roaders or right of center people who aren’t ideologues like Mr. Hawkins. If Obama wins the nomination, a lot of people who had some independent(non talk show or classic liberal) ideas but are repelled at Obama’s black racialist nonsense background might go for McCain.
