Here we go again. Another instant expert thinks the spread of Western democracy and culture to their immediate vicinity is what the benighted Muslims are all awaiting. I’ve been there and know better. Democracy and “freedom” as this author means it have little traction in the Muslim world. What we need to do is to make damn sure nuclear technology is denied the Iranians. Period. We needn’t concern ourselves with their freedom.
