Barack Obama did the only thing he could do about Wight short of conceding the primary to Clinton. It took courage–Wright is a nasty piece of work with a loud mouth–but Obama had no option. Even a rat turns when cornered.
Not that Obama was ratlike in manner. In manner Obama is flawlessly graceful. It’s the substance beneath the manner, or more accurately, the lack thereof, that disturbs.
By his own account, Obama resented white people for his first twenty years. The last twenty years he’s been politically and spiritually wed to Black Nazi Witch-Doctor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright. So how many years are left between his first twenty years and his last when Obama didn’t resent White people? What occasioned his glorious, if brief, epiphany?
Obama’s wife assures us that no American will be allowed to sit idly by during the great changes her husband plans for our country. What will happen to those of us who who are satisfied with the the old, democratic America and don’t think we need a cultural revolution? Re-education camps, I suppose. Reactionary management classes. Political and social sensitivity seminars.
The fact that Obama is an empty suit with nothing in his resume is the least troubling thing about him. Scarier is that for a guy full of sincerity who has written am autobiography and dominates the public square twenty-four-seven, Obama remains opaque. Two dimensional. All surface and no depth. A one-eyed Jack who never shows the other side of his face. A high minded fellow who never gets down to earth and talks specifics.
I’m genuinely impressed that Obama had the courage to give his venomous old mentor the heave-ho. I’ll be even more impressed when he stops massaging white voters and starts irritating black voters.
I’ll believe Obama when he reminds black voters that people of every ethnicity on the planet have learned to speak common American English and Ebonics is ignorant, lazy-minded speech with a silly name.
I’ll believe Obama when he tells Black voters that Black Liberation Theology, like Black Muslim theology, is Black Nazi mumbo-jumbo.
I’ll believe Obama when he tells Black voters to back-burner their love and loyalty for the widely varietal continent of Africa where most have never been and know nothing about and instead, direct their love and loyalty to one spouse, the children they bring into this world together and the variegated democratic society in which their loving and loyal family lives and grows.
I’ll believe Obama when he tells Black voters that the days of poorbox robbing, corporation mau-mauing,race profiteering parasites like Sharpton, Jackson and Wright are done and gone.
Meanwhile, my kids are voting Clinton and Her Ladyship and I are plumping for McCain.
