We have to realise that this world is one now. If there are no toilets in Guatemala it is as much an American problem as it is theirs! We are as good as our brothers and sisters across our borders. You can’t pretend that what happens in Guatemala no longer affects you! It does. If Guatemala loses its green cover we all will pay for the resulting global warming. Americans cannot hope to swig beer in the comfort of their drawing rooms by shutting out the world. So, we need to stop thinking in terms of them and us; it is good for us. That is what Obama says. Focus instead on his economics. That is all wrong. Our freedom is being undermined by the corporations. Corporations are stifling freedom of the market and competition! Rein in corporations; they should be no powerful than individuals!
These are difficult times–we have no proven formula for success. All that we now know is that success does not come from a we versus they mentality.
