Conservatives and Republicans should really, REALLY stay away from the topic of Global Warming. Nothing says “I’m an anti-science, clueless moron” quite like calling Global Warming/Climate Change a fraud. I’m not going to debate it here, because there’s nothing to debate – the amount of *real* evidence that has been collected and analyzed by *real* scientists working in the field — aka people who know what the f*ck they are doing — is unmistakable and can’t interpreted any other way.
You can pull as many half-baked factoids out how many dopey, non-scientific sources as you want, but that will still make you a moron. You can be your own scientist and try to use your local weather and your *analysis* of NASA data as the smoking gun for it all being a liberal conspiracy, but that will only make you a bigger moron. You and your friends can run as many puppets as you want in trying to “add balance” to the Wikipedia article on Global Warming, but that will only make you both vandals and morons. Something like “fiscal responsibility” is good thing to put your saddle on, and *not* eye-rollingly stupid stuff like global warming being some sort of anti-science fraud.
