This “piece” is asinine! If I was Obambi’s campaign manager, and was given the opportunity to try to hoodwink independent/conservative voters into “moving on” from the whole Wright imbroligio, this is exactly the sort of double-talk and bullsh!t I would come up with.
Basically, what Loy is arguing is that non-liberals shouldn’t harp on Obambi’s Wright connection too much because it might lend credence to victim-class black’s/guilt-ridden white’s perceptions that eroding support for Obambi is due to racism on the part of the white American voting public…and that if it appears that Obambi loses either the Dem nomination OR the national election due to his connection to Wright, it will give Wright and the rest of Grievance, Inc. fuel to continue their stock-n-trade of race-baiting and grievance-mongering.

If Obambi lost the election because he grabbed a human baby out of it’s mother’s arms and ate it on live television, guess what: Grievance, Inc. is still going to scream “Racism!”
The only “racism” that’s going to kill Obambi’s presidential chances is coming from Obama World!
It’s the racism coming from Wright: “9/11 was chickens coming home to roost!…US invented AIDS!” (TRANSLATION: “White people are evil!”)
It’s the racism coming from Ayers: “Empire resurrected and unapologetic, war without end…a new kind of energized jingoistic patriotism, unprecedented and unapologetic military expansion, white supremacy…” (TRANSLATION: “White people are evil!…except for sufficiently guilt-ridden Leftists like me!”)
It’s the racism coming from his wife: “For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country” (TRANSLATION: “Because selfish white people have been keeping us from creating a Utopia of universal health care, fixed souls, and tenured faculty-positions for all!”)
Why in the world should the American people give the Presidency to a man who has – for his entire life – surrounded himself with people who hate the US!!!

Even if this whole thing isn’t anything but a giant piece of political theatre dreamed up by Team Obama/Wright (Slogan: “I say, “Can I Get An Amen?”…He says, “Present!”) – WHICH IT IS – it still doesn’t negate this fact:
Wright didn’t say anything different than what he’d already said!
When Obambi commented on Wrights statements before, he tried to explain everything away with moral equivalence and Grandma-cide!…he tried to shame white America into silence by claiming that Wright’s words were “taken out of context”…”Tsk, tsk, all you out-of-touch white folks!”
Now, when Wright fortuitously shows up again and makes the exact same statements, all of sudden, Obambi is “outraged!” and “sickened!”
Polling showed that his evasive excuse-making the last time around didn’t work and was hurting him with voters. This time, when he “magically” got the chance for a do-over, he made a tactical decision to maximize his chances of winning the presidency…nothing more, nothing less.
But even if his conversion is one of pure convenience, that’s arguably almost as good as a genuine change of heart, because he’s unlikely to “convert” back.
Riiiiighhhttt…because the most liberal Leftist in the Senate has suddenly had a “Road to Damascus” moment, whereby he’s seen the light about the fallacy of one of his political ideology’s cornerstones – namely, that the masses are weak, pathetic creatures who can only be protected from the rich jackals that prey on them by a force-field of state programs (“Raise shields…and taxes!”) and a regular dose of self-esteem via “apologies” and “context” (“Sorry our ‘programs’ have destroyed the black community over the past 50 years. We meant well…in a good way”)
and if he is able to bring his massive numbers of black supporters along for the ride– he can do an enormous amount of good.
