I submit that Obama, born of a Muslim father from the predominantly Muslim Luo tribe of Kenya, having been raised in an Indonesian Muslim household and been educated as a Muslim in some of his formative grade school years, rather then having adding breadth and insight to an essentially American viewpoint, instead formed an essentially foreign, Muslim-oriented viewpoint concerning America and Americans.
Thus, Obama’s often un-educated statements—“57 states” anyone?–strange ideas and verbal formulations—“I won”–and his unfamiliarity with and disdain for American values and the Constitution and his disdain, too, for the majority of our population—whites–“white greed rules a world in need”–those “bitter” people in flyover country that “cling” to their guns and their bibles, and even the white grandmother who raised him, who he called a “typical white person” and a racist.
The continuing controversy about Obama’s origins, his failure to produce his original birth certificate, and questions as to whether or not he is a “natural born citizen” illustrates just why the Founding Fathers put the “natural born citizen” qualification in the Constitution. They put this requirement in to prevent the election of a President who had insufficient experience with, love for and allegiance to America and her history, traditions, form of government and democracy, a President whose first and foremost allegiance might not be to America, but to some other country or culture of his birth or upbringing. It seems to me that this is exactly the situation we are presently living through.
