Conservatives, Rejoice: Obama Did the ‘Wright’ Thing

“Can those who truly care about moving past the endless rehashing of grievances old and new, real and imagined, toward a more constructive approach to race relations in this country, really afford to tear down the man who could help them win this battle? Particularly when, in so doing, they’ll be unintentionally allying themselves with the very grievance-mongers they abhor, who will now want Obama to fail for very different reasons?”

What drivel. This type of, ahem, analysis, is almost as bad as the Libs arrogant boilerplate self-deceptions. Rejoicing at the coming home of the prodigal son Obama to the world of reality and sanity presumes that he has, in fact, come home. I believe this prodigal son is only making a short visit home to reality world and, when he sees no more to be gained from his short redemption tour home, he will go back to the standard class/race warfare rhetoric his fanatically devoted fans – victims all – so crave.

“If he wins the presidency, it will be much harder for these charlatans to ply their trade.”

Nothing could be further from the truth. The grievance industry is fed primarily from the hands of guilty white Liberals and the black grievance mongers are only cashing in on the myths created and perpetuated by the guilty white elites. The grievance industry will continue to flourish as long as those guilty white elites see themselves as “saviours” of societies losers from the hands of their successful (and therefore evil) white bretheren. It is foolish to expect the guilty white elites in media, academia and politics to give up their cherished self-important role as saviours of the class/race struggle.

“All the better if he is perceived as losing because of a racially charged controversy. Such a result should be anathema to conservatives. Yet by continuing to harp on the Wright controversy, they may help bring it about.”

Once again, the author presumes that crafting the Republican/conservative response to the Obama/Wright debacle to fit within the Liberal framework and not pursue the mess any further will deny the Libs and race baiters a platform to continue to do what they always do, and that is a foolish assumption. Lib media and politicians WILL do what they always do regardless of how the Republicans “craft” their response. Calculating conservative responses by first figuring in how the Libs will package it goes to the core of the current republican/conservative difficulties. Playing by the Lib rules and following the Lib playbook is neither wise nor clever, it is feckless and gutless. Conservatives are disgusted with a leadership that has capitulated to the Libs and no longer tries to even give voice to the conservative perspective. Telling conservatives to keep quiet or craft their criticisms and arguments to fit into the Liberal framework because of how Libs will spin it is advice that is beneath contempt.
