I must take exception with this statement:
“if one views him as a human being first and a politician second”
Politicians are becoming their own sub-species in our culture, and Obama is a politician first and foremost as is Hillary and most of Congress. I don’t relish our choices this fall, but at least McCain offers a glimmer of hope that he may do the right thing more often than not.
Only when the politically expedient aligns with the ‘good of the country’, as in this case, will we see progress on any front until we wake up and demand more of those we elect.
