It’s painfully obvious:
1. Obama needed Wright’s support to be elected early in his political career.
2. He knew of Wright’s racist positions — twenty years went by.
3. He has counted on the MSM to accept what he says about the situation — and may still get away with it.
4. The “he can’t be that stupid” argument is naive. History is filled with the bad decisions of very smart people: Napoleon entered Russia in the winter; Nixon obstructed justice in Watergate; Bill Clinton lied under oath, etc.
