I would like to revisit Peter Singer in a few years when he’s a 68 year old man with an enlarged prostate. He will, of course, by that time, be beyond providing any productive “value” to the state; he’ll likely find that there will be no “desirable ration” of health care to treat his useless old man self.
The state would, of course, provide him painkillers in lieu of treatment.
