excellent discussion, very interesting to read all the different postings….it appears that the only point that all can agree upon is the immanent danger of too many Muslims together in any one country…that Islam itself is a self-righteous, intolerant, lying, violent faith that preaches world domination and then goes on to pursue that aim, as it has for centuries….
despite all the multicultural and left wing liberal verbiage about Islam being a religion of peace….the only peace to be found is the peace of the morgue….the graveyard…if one is a persistent unbeliever…now what i am not sure is if this Islam is INHERENTLY a violent intolerant faith, or if it has been corrupted to be so by the centuries of fundamentalist imams…and the present surge of Saudi supported Wahabism exported all over the world…i suspect that what bradley said is most likely the truest take on “assimilation” of Muslims into western society….when he said:

If they grow up in a Muslim community, forget it. Their imam will preach the necessity of shari’a, and neighborhood goons will enforce it.”
this is definitely true in Canada, where already the islamic community in Ontario has been pressing for Shari’a law alongside the traditional Canadian laws….the Muslim women however strongly objected to this, saying that they had all wanted to come here to Canada to ESCAPE such backwards and brutal laws, and strongly opposed the introduction of shari’a in ontario…again it was a case of too many muslims gathered together such that they could muster up this support for shari’a law….most muslim women, if they have the choice will NOT go for shari’a law, because they don’t like the privileges that the men have over the women…and the difficulty for them (women) to obtain a divorce from an abusing man under shari’a…..
if you want to see how it is for non muslim minorities in such countries as Malaysia, (which claims to be a modern moderate Islamic state…) do some digging….if you want to marry a Malaysian Muslim…you MUST convert to Islam.
the Malays (all Muslim) have the greatest rights to jobs, land, etc. in the country…the Hindus and Chinese (and Christians) are all there in Malaysia on sufferance…and the more extreme Muslims are intent on expelling them all….despite the contributions they have made toward the Malaysian society.
My wife comes from Malaysia, a Tamil Hindu lady, and she personally experienced a lot of religious and racial discrimination while living there…she felt that it was almost impossible for her to get any where in her career as a Computer programmer, systems manager…or any where in the computer field because the Malays (muslims all) will always be preferred over her and others like her.
she wasn’t allowed to take the courses she WANTED to take in University…she was lucky to be given a placement in university (under the quota laws), but had to study what the government decided for her to study…and the entire time she was in university, she was forced to take classes in Islam (despite the fact that she was in the computer field…a very far reach from Islam)…
Also, the teachers of the Islam courses lied to her all the time about her own religion and all the other religions, to promote their own fanatical views of the supremacy of Islam…they were so effective at this propaganda, that she was almost taken in at one point….and was only saved by coming into contact with some teachings of her own faith which she could understand…..
in the late 1960′s there were major riots by the Malays in Malaysia against the Indians and CHinese, who they thought had too much power and influence…too much of the country’s money and resources…in this rioting, many Hindus and Chinese were killed, and my wife’s father lost his business, along with his delivery van…his family nearly starved to death, until he could set up a new business several years later, and he had to work two jobs every day, just to make ends meet (barely)….and now we see these Malaysian bloggers advocating tattooing all non Muslims in Malaysia….this does not sound like a tolerant state or people…
also one must look at the communal riots in India over the years, many of which have been started by the Muslims committing horrific crimes against the Hindus there….eg the ones in Gujerat a few years ago….they murdered men women and children on a train…
of course the Hindus responded in like kind, but the world press sided with the islamic rioters and denounced the responding Hindus as “right wing fundamentalists”….i guess what they are trying to tell us is that it’s ok for the Muslims to beat us up and kill us, but it’s not ok for Hindus or christians to fight back….
also like in Europe, the Indian government bends over backwards to accomodate the Muslims while practising real prejudicial policies towards the Hindu majority….and we in the west get the pro muslim anti Hindu propaganda…and believe it…
and then an Indian muslim man an “artist” is allowed to portray Hindu deities in disrespectful ways, naked and with insulting titles….and the Hindus are expected to just put up with this, no complaining please…otherwise one is a racist, whereas if one would harmlessly protray the prophet or some islamic saint in that manner there would be Muslim riots and killings of innocent Hindus in protest of the so called “insult” to Islam…
it’s a no win situation, and i for one am very glad my wife managed to get out of there to come to Cananda….i hope that our government and people in this country wake up before it’s too late, and the Umma is including our country too….
