The Democrats turned most of them into self pitying victims. By the way, this nonsense has actually been going on longer than 40 years. Affirmative action grading was already well established in many northeastern universities by the late 1950s! Blacks were often not expected to earn their degrees. This is how Martin Luther King, Jr. obtained his advanced degrees—-and he apparently was not an exception.
