Oh, and just a question to sheesh and Blarty: Are you saying that it should be open season on the Obama children too, or that somehow it was justifiable in the case of Palin’s son, but not in their daughters’? I think the whole thing was disgusting, and the idea that it should happen to anyone would, I think, repulse any ethical, well-intentioned individual, *regardless* of their political affiliation, or yours. But since it saved Medicare and kept prayer out of schools, I guess everything’s fair game, right? And don’t bring Rush up with me either: I didn’t like his insult either, and he *did* apologize the next day, something many of the people who’ve attacked Palin either didn’t do, or did only lamely (notably Letterman).
