Advocating disloyalty and the breaking up of land within a nation is one of the highest forms of treachary. Be it through arms or any other form. The southerns were traitors in the Civil War, and state-based independence movement supporters today are traitors. They can care less about the Constitution. That’s nothing more but populist window dressing. If living up to its standards was the goal, then there are a thousand and one more constructive ways to address it.
This is more about socially isolated individuals who feel they know how to better ‘rule’ over people than the elected government.
