ALl this intoning about what Palin should do or not do reminds one of the strange commentary all over the media that the Northern Alliance SHOULDN’T go into Kabul when the front line of the Taliban collapsed. Why the hell not? Mercifully for EVERYONE, especially the long-suffering residents of Kabul, the Northern Alliance wasn’t plugged into the U.S. conventional wisdom circuit and barrelled into Kabul, scattering the fleeing Taliban so bad they dropped their weapons and just ran, with irate Kabulites stones in hands just happy to get the cleaning out started. In 24 hours, Kabul went from deadsville, to a bustling city, music, TV onthe street for sale, once banned kites flying, song birds for sale.
WHat?!? Those who do’t know how to fight just step aside and stop giving bonehead advice.
