Is this actually a fact? I doubt it. I thought her employement ended because Nixon resigned – and actually the fact that she was selected for the job in the first place says plenty. Many congressmen (like Andrew Young)that she met during her service were concerned that she chose to follow Bill Clinton (whom they had not met) to Arkansas. Hillary Clinton was identified early as a talented person and her undergraduate valedictorian commencement speech – where she discarded her prepared speech to respond to Sen Edward Brooke’s speech is still pointed to as a key event in understanding Hillary Clinton.
