At the outset, I wondered if the Dems would repeat their blunders of 1968 and 1972. It looks like it’s headed that way, but when I consider that the Reps have nominated John McCain who just isn’t very bright, I think we may spare them yet again. I don’t think that McCain will repeat the Watergate fiasco, but he seems fully capable of making deals with the Dems in appointing SCOTUS justices who will end up like so many Republican appointees of the past, liberals in sheep’s clothes. His faith in Al Gore and Global Warming is just stunning.
