If it is death, it is not suicide, but a political homicide, acceded to for economic reasons. Billary saw no dishonor in keeping a tight clamp on the public teat while getting the taxpayer to foot their massive legal bills. (Is this a reason Hillary fell short of the president — her affiliation with a known criminal and philanderer — her husband? Now that was suicide.)
A more moral person might see the advantage of personal sacrifice — short term — Give up the biggest job Palin may ever have for the benefit of her Family, State and Nation. Time will tell if it was the right choice. But I think Bill Clinton certainly should have done the same thing. And his ethics problems were real, and his excuses and self-justifications were all lies. I do not feel the same disgust towards Sarah’s statements as I believe her ethics complaints were all bogus.
