They are a quintessential example of legislators passing laws without foreseeing the unintentional consequences…It is my understanding, and I’m admittedly a bit confused on this point, that Alaska allows any citizen the right to charge the governor with ethic violations at a drop of the hat.”
Sarah Palin championed those very ethics laws – in fact that was how she won the Governor’s race in the first place. Those are her laws. With her signature on them.
If she can’t withstand the scrutiny of a law that she herself authored then something is very very wrong.
