If she is President, with a solid VP, if she decides to step down for the good of the country, because the distractions or political logjams are making it impossible to govern effectively, would you exalt or lambast the decision?
Her detractors would say she cut and ran. Her supporters would say she fell on her sword. Simply different values between the Left and the Right. To me, this is a great decision.
Say what you want about her, she is THE NEWS this weekend. All the b-team guys on the news channels are delighted, because there is really something to talk about, now, while the a-teams are on holiday.
The fact that this announcement made such a splash shows the importance of this woman. I say AK has become too small to hold her. She has the ability to change the direction of this country, but she can’t do it from the Alaska Governors office.
As an aside, it was interesting to see the body language and face of Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell. There was a guy who was really moved by the move. There was awe and gratitude in his expression. Now there’s a guy who owes her BIG. He can rightly claim to be her #1 fan right now.
