Because she won’t care about the power elites, should she seek and win the White House. Perhaps not Palin, but it will be someone like her to rescue this country – we cannot afford to any longer be governed by people who have a career in politics. Ronald Reagan, our greatest President since Lincoln, held two offices – Governor and President. Experience is needed, but he wasn’t one of those self-seekers who crawl their way up to the top. Obama managed to jump to the head of the class out of sequence, as it were, but he’s just another one of those people for whom power and privilege are the measure of the man.
Wave your magic wand and place me in the White House tomorrow and imagine what I’d do…I sure as heck wouldn’t even think about signing a 1000+ page Spendulus bill until I’d read it all and thoroughly understood each and ever aspect of its provisions…and then I’d spend the rest of my administration just implementing that because when you’re spending that much money doing that many things, its enough on the plate. But, of course, I wouldn’t even sign such a bill – the mere fact that it was 1000+ pages would cause me to immediately veto it and tell Congress to send me something 10 pages or less, or jump in a lake.
I’m a citizen, and thus I take a citizen’s view of the issue – Sarah Palin is, too…with the addition of being a fabulous woman of immense intellect, character and courage. She scares the living poop out of the political elite.
