Al Franken. Republicans worst nightmare. Or should that be Michelle Bachmann?
Personally, I think Al was too sedate against Coleman. I worry he may have toned down his rhetoric too much for my taste. I earnestly hope he takes on hypocrites like Cornyn, Vitter, Ensign, Graham, McConnell, DeMint, Inhofe, etc. with the same acid tongue and dry wit that made me like him in the first place.
Like Bush, don’t “misunderestimate” him. Unlike Bush, Franken is a cum laude Harvard University graduate and a five-time NYT best selling book author. He is also smart and knowledgeable about the issues that affect voters in Minnesota.
Besides, anyone who can sell a boat load of books with the titles of “Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot and Other Observations” and “Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right” gets my vote.
