Norm lost my vote when he voted to not drill ANWR. That was after his vote for the bailout because the Pres. who pushed it was of his party. I was gonna give him that one but he lost me at ANWR. Norm has always been green and it did him no good. Now he can talk about his honorable loss because of his principled position on the environment. Thats nice Norm but no greenie voted for you. BTW both the Libertarian and the Constitution party candidates got thousands of more votes than normal. Norm lost those votes. The Independant Party candidate Barcley got 100k votes, many of those were from those disenchanted with Norm.
If we had the system they have in Georgia, Norm would have won the runoff by at least 8%.
The good news is that the Democrat Farmer Labor party’s reputation for clean politics and ethical behavior has been ruined. They never deserved it to begin with.
The bad news is that Al’s internet campaign was peerless with a content driven micromarketing program that people will be looking at closely.
