p.s. how can you explain that on Friday after his death, when all radios were playing his songs, friends of mine and me, who didn’t listen for at least 10 years the songs, WERE INSTANTLY REMEMBERING AND SINGING ALL THE WORDS?
Because pop hits are audio wallpaper and impossible to avoid. I can recite lyrics to songs that I hate, from artists that I actively try to avoid.
As lyricist, btw, MJ at his best didn’t approach John Lennon at his worst (Imagine).
