Some of these “Reverends” apparently don’t take the words of Yeshua/Christ seriously…HE said to love your enemy and what good is it if you love only your friends for even the worst among us can do that? My understanding of scripture tells me that even if one perceives enmity in his own heart for someone it is still his responsibility as a believer to love that person-without exception, without rancor, and with grace…Yeshua was VERY clear on this and in fact gave HIS life for us when we were still HIS enemy….”Reverend” Lee needs to take some personal inventory at the very least….
The other side of the coin is that Africans in America have borne and continue to bear the terrible cost of racism, along with the theft of their history, language and culture….And I rarely hear people take this on in a real way, even in the Black community…if there were more open discussion of these issues there would be less Lees and Wrights – If more people did their homework, and read or studied some of the great Black historians, like J.A. Rogers,(there is life before and after MLK after all and he was not the last word on the subject and frankly not even the deepest thinker) or some of the great Jewish historians like Israeli statesman Schlomo Ben Ami, the discussion might actually bear good fruit and mutual understanding between these two great peoples…
