Yea, but I would still pigeon hole the Democratic party as a part of 80,000,000 personal agendas. For the most part, most conservatives I know think for the greater good, and just about every liberal leaning one seems to be a one or two issue voter. The short and simple part of it is, that pretty much everything bad is already illegal, other then enforcing the laws the government is way oversized and overfunded to do what they are supposed to do. There is more then enough money already in the budget to control our borders and pay for national health care in addition to sustaining our military and infrastructure if it were run anything close to resembling efficiency.
A flat tax for everyone who makes over $30K and a purging of the incredibly bloated government agencies and massive government contractor budgets would be too much to ask. We have 6-figure salary contractors doing basic tasks alongside our $30k a year soldiers for crying out loud. There is nothing any more taxes would accomplish, but as was said above, there is no money in the cure.
