“…the Long Beach 8 didn’t, even though the defendants inflicted potentially permanent damage to one of the young female victims, and they were all more or less released without real punishment. No media coverage, no outrage, and especially no looking too close into gang affiliations and things such as witness intimidation and odd, racist propaganda. Trying to convince the white community that the words “white bitches” aren’t hate speech, in the ‘hood, is just an attempt to relate the black experience to the rest of us…nothing more.”
I remember this. Another Reginald Denny…It was seen mostly as funny.
