This may be wishful thinking, or “joe-logic” as my wife calls it but here goes…
We sit around worrying about Islamofascists. They’re small fry. I think the 800lb gorilla that we’re ignoring is China. How long it will be before the huge Chinese demand for oil becomes a factor. Relatively speaking, the middle east has a small population while China is overrun with people who want/need all that oil. It would be easy for the Chinese to march in their huge army and overwhelm, anyone who stands in their way. Not if but when, the Chinese start to seriously consider this the Muslims will ask the West for help. Ha! We need to prepare for the real possibility of there being no more middle eastern oil. The Chinese will take it and the muslims will be living in tents in the desert again.
