While I certainly don’t approve of Gov. Sanford’s affair, I abhor Republicans attacking their own. Remember, we are all less than perfect. Ronald Reagan was the first President to have been divorced, Newt Gingrich doesn’t exactly have a spotless record of fidelity, and Rush has had 3 failed marriages. (There isn’t enough space to catalog Democrat failings.) If Mark Sanford can still do the job he was elected to do, I’d prefer to see him stay to the end of his term than to be disowned and “kicked to the curb” by his own party members.
