Large Democratic Donors Help Shut Down July 4 Atlanta Tea Party
I’m kind of torn on this one. I like the ideas behind the Tea Parties. However, I support Simon Property’s rights that they do not want to have a protest on their property. I also think it is a very poor buisiness decision. Malls are generally air conditioned. Estimated attendance is 20,000? Even if only 5,000 show up on a hot, sunny, July day, many of them will go inside the mall and BUY STUFF. The food court alone would be banking. If you are worried about the mess ask them to pay for cleanup. You can make a small profit on that as well. Dumb move Simon Property.
Someone pointed out that the protest has not been canceled, it has been moved to a public park. Is this true? Why was it not scheduled for a public park in the first place? Sounds like poor planning to me.
