The connections seem to be dotted, rather than solid lines. They may be accurate, but the current relevance of a publishing company’s connection to Hitler is questionable. That Bertelsmann is large and influential is hardly a crime. That it seeks advantage among the governments which regulate it is unsurprising. The unsavoriness and mixed motives are apparent and deserve reporting. Getting the US gov’t to back off on anti-trust inquiry would indeed be shady. Perhaps Chris’s “sleazy” is closer. A revealed Nazi connection would be bad for business, but not indictable.

36% is not a monopoly, the booklists of large publishers could be cherry-picked to illustrate any bias, and a corporation disguising or even denying an evil committed 60-70 years ago is predictable.
