Agreed David. Somewhere there are a number of young LEFT-WING LIBERAL MSM journalists warming up in the bull pen, waiting to make there career with a series about how the “King has no clothes”. Its a statistics thing — kinda like the billions and billions of suns in our universe; there’s gotta be some intelligent life somewhere.
It’s also a chain reaction waiting to happen. The economy will stay mired in the doldrums, a hesitant congress will back peddle as 2010 approaches as they feel the heat from their constituents, programs will stall (as you said), and Obama will stumble in some egregious, left-offending way.
It will be then that some timid editor greenlights the “No Clothes” stories, every available edition will be snapped up, a sequel will be run, circulation rises, the bouffant-coiffed video-persiflagers will pick up the drum beat (“BO and MO in WH shrieking match; dog craps on carpet in Oval Office; the unraveling dream; film at 11″) and we’re off to the races.
..your predicition may very well come true — resigning for “health reasons” or just to sharpen up his fade-away jumber — and if it does, can it be said that this will be the first time that The Alleged Hawaiian votes “absent”?
