“Liberals” in this country will run down Christianity at every opportunity, but I found a surprising reaction when I remarked to one that it would be better if Muslims became non-observant and lax about their religion, much as most westerners are with regards to Christianity.
He was appalled. Why would we want Muslims to not observe their religion?
Unbelievable. The left continually ridicule religion when it comes to Christianity, but they are fully supportive of Islam, which, last I checked, is chalk full of the same sort of things they claim to not like about Christianity (prudishness, belief in a non-scientific god, etc.).
So what the left really hates about Christianity, is its practitioners. What they love about Islam is its practitioners and the ones they like the most are the ones that hate the west.
And that’s the core of it all – the left’s seething hatred of western civilization.
