Ed, it is very sad, but most Jewish Obama-admirers will not abandon him whatever he does/says/not says. Similarly, they were with Democrats even during the reign of the disastrous Jimmy, the chronic Jew- and Israel basher and Khomeini admirer… American Jews blindly support Democrats based on the perceptions that were obsolete even decades ago.
And their not challenging the Democratic elite (Dems perceive the Jewish voices as granted) allowed the sympathetic treatment of numerous racist and anti-Semitic leaders. Hope it is clear as to why I’m mentioning Democrats, the guarantors of the modern brand of racism existence.
What is wrong with my tribesman Jews? Once they begin enjoying freedoms and equality (like in Israel and USA), many of them turn into semi-robotic one-dimensional followers who never challenge the elite they (or their predecessors) ones believed. Do we need the oppressive “Galut” to be in touch with the reality, adjust to the situation, think independently (if at all) and remain creative in all aspects of the life (including politics)?
