Another example of the standard set by AA’s. Bigotry is bigotry. Hate is hate. Doesn’t matter where it comes from or who it is directed to. To feel entitlement at being able to hit and run with these kinds of comments speaks to the community it comes from. Not everyone, but the underlying group of purveyors who attack openly and run away before there is an opportunity for response or dialog. We would do well to learn the tactic and employee it. Next time someone of that ilk tells you you are a racist, respond Yes I am, and it isn’t illegal so what is your point?? That might get their attention. It does take the wind out of the sails. We need to remember it is harder to unteach inappropriate behavior than get it right the first time.
