Reverend Lee’s Response Sounds Like The Protocols of the Elders of Zion
His “apology” doesn’t sit well with me. You can’t say what he said, and then say “I’m sorry if I offended you, I didn’t mean it.” (He didn’t, of course even come close to saying that). The remarks obviously represent his beliefs and no amount of spin can erase what he said.
Perhaps more important, why didn’t our good Mayor and city officals who were present simply stand up and walk out. I haven’t read any comment from the Mayor’s office. By staying and listening, without protest, did they not lend dignity to vile anti-semetic comments made by a pillar of the African-American community. Being CEO of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference of greater Los Angeles is not an insignificant position. Perhaps the mayor is afraid of offending part of his political base, but then sometimes it becomes necessary for a politician to take a stand – if he or she is man or woman enough to do it – our Mayor obviously isn’t. Remember it when it comes time to vote.
Hooray for Ms. Ziman who had the courage to walk out.
