Stuart, if he didn’t say something along the lines that Mrs. Ziman claims, then why the apology? Wouldn’t he deny ever saying any such thing and add that he found such sentiments horrifying? In his apology, he doesn’t even deny her claims, he just says he didn’t mean to offend her. An apology instead of a denial indicates to me at least that he said what she said. And there’s no misconstruing that kind of hate speech.
