Reverend Lee’s Response Sounds Like The Protocols of the Elders of Zion
The Rev. Eric. P. Lee’s apology rings hollow after his vile and uncontrolled attack on the Jews. His foetid categorization of “the Jews” is just as racist as if one blamed “the African Americans” for his transgression. By condemning an entire ethnic group for the faults – real or imagined – of a few individuals, such rhetoric opens the door to what happened in Europe between 1933 and 1945.
The apology is wasted on me. His true feelings were expressed when he gave vent to his irrational hatred of all Jews. Mere words won’t make that disappear. It is now up to the Rev. Eric P. Lee to act like a man and remove himself from the pulpit. His apology is as if Hoess or Eichmann or Hitler himself stood atop the mountain of calcinated bones in Majdanek and apologized to their victims.
Let God (or as he quaintly spells it in the Orthodox manner as G-d) forgive him (and them). I can’t.
