I am stunned by the irony of many of the posts above.

Our country is at a crossroads. We can choose to heighten and reinforce our divisions OR attempt to work out our problems and emerge a stronger nation. Lee’s rhetoric was inexcusable, but some of the responses above are no less shameful. I will leave you with this quote I just read…

“…Long before I ever heard the “N” word, I knew that a schwartze was someone who could not be trusted and deserved no respect.”

Who here will condemn “Martya” in the same way that Lee has been (rightly) vilified? One hatred is not any more noble than another.
