What I can’t get my head around is the question of audience silence. Either they agreed with the rant or disagreed. If the latter, why were they so cowardly to sit in silence when their auspices were so abused in this fashion. As a Canadian I always hear Americans stand of for freedom of speech and their commitment to equality. I guess its becoming just an empty mantra among those who should be first to defend it. Those freedoms were given in blood and were abandoned in that room.
